Tell us a little about yourself/crew…
Two homies from Austin. Both been skating for about 13 years.
How do you feel about placing 2nd?
Obviously we were gunning for first place but we are
very happy to at least get second. We are honored.
Is there anything you`d like to say to the Penny Audience?
Grip it, rip it, and keep on pushin.
Any special thanks?
Thanks to Elias Bingham and No-Comply Skate Shop!
What was your Inspiration?
The song was actually what really inspired us. We
wanted to make something that was fast paced and
interesting. Once I heard the song, I had a visual of
what I wanted to do. Shout out to Colin Gardipee for
showing me the song.
Where is the location?
All around the city of Austin, Texas.
How long did it take to film/storyboard/edit?
It took two days to film it and a day or two to edit.
Were there any problems you encountered?
Nah brah!
What motivated you to enter? Money? Fame? Filming
Well of course $5,000 is pretty good incentive…as well
as the exposure but we did it for fun mostly.
Would you do anything different if you had to do it again?
Skate faster! Film Harder!

Tell us a little about yourself/crew…
I had just finished my indie short, The Working Man,
when Thy and I decided to enter the contest. It was a
perfect excuse to put together a dream team of
talented friends who do rad stuff.
How do you feel about placing Third
It’s not first, but the process and friendship that were
involved are unbeatable.
Is there anything you`d like to say to the Penny Audience?
Thanks for viewing. Skate or die!
Any special thanks?
Thanks to the City of Los Angeles for painting the
bright green bicycle lane on Spring. Thanks to the
Uprise, Stix, and Transport skate shops and Touch
wood skate park. Thanks to Salman Agah, Thrasher’s
‘93 SOTY, for letting us shoot at his awesome
restaurant, Pizzanista!--one more component of the
dream team. And special thanks to our family, friends,
Team Captain, and fans. Getting more than 17, 000
views in just a few weeks during the height of the
holidays was amazing. Shout out to Rogue River!
What was your Inspiration?
Family, friends, fun.
What did you film with?
Canon 7D and Canon EOS Rebel T2i.
Where is the location?
All locations are located in a one-mile radius in the
heart of Downtown Los Angeles. Pizzanista! is on 2019
E. 7th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90021. It's a good place
to find tasty slices as well as skate legends.
How long did it take to film/storyboard/edit?
The project took 28 days from beginning to end. We
were already fans of the Penny Boards when we
discovered the contest, made a few phone calls, and
immediately began location scouting. All filming took
place on December 10 and we uploaded the finished
product on December 29.
Were there any problems you encountered?
The biggest problem was finding a day when everyone
could get together to film. After that it was like a relay
in which the working files were passed along by the
editor, composer, and color balancer as they left or
returned to town over the holidays.
What motivated you to enter? Money? Fame? Filming
An opportunity to do something fun and creative with
friends whose work I had long admired. And to win
first place, of course.
Would you do anything different if you had to do it again?
Maybe a couple more close-up shots of the Penny
board? Stick it in a backpack and hop on a fixie?
Definitely, eat MORE pizza!

Tell us a little about yourself/crew…
Our crew consisted of Cam Campbell (Fellow film maker, Director), Barry Mansfield (skateboarder) and I (J’aime Fazackerley)
How do you feel about winning best trick?
Excited! We were really surprised and stoked on the positive response we got from our entry so winning best trick just tops it off.
Is there anything you`d like to say to the Penny Audience?
Remember that skateboarding is all about going on fun adventures and enjoying the journey.
Any special thanks?
Thanks to all of my friends and family who helped to promote the entry online and thanks to the guys
at Penny for holding the competition!

Where is the location?

Pretty smooth.

It was just an excuse for my friends and I to work on a project and be creative together.

Not really no, I think we achieved what we set out to achieve which
is always a good feeling.
